Charles Marohn is the Founder and President of Strong Towns. He was trained as an engineer, but early on came to see the problematic nature of how we often do development. Specifically, he has coined the idea of the “Growth Ponzi Scheme” to show how unsustainable traditional patterns of development have become. From these early days, the Strong Towns team has grown and they are now involved in a lot of the issues around how to build a place that works and will continue to do so into the future. Through it all, Charles has taken a different path from many other urbanists and has such an interesting perspective to share!
