Carolyn Zelikow is Associate Director of National Programs at the Aspen Institute and Founder of the Hometown Summit. She spends her time engaging with all kinds of ideas for how to make our places better and facilitating the sharing of these ideas. She launched Hometown Summit as part of Tom Tom Festival in Charlottesville, Va. Her goal has been to create a platform for how to improve small cities. As big cities continue to grow quickly, many small cities are wondering where they fit into the narrative of revitalized urban spaces. Hometown Summit does a tremendous job of focusing in on how these small cities can thrive in our rapidly changing world.
